How we work
How the service runs day to day, what each plan includes and how billing works.
How it runs
- Before the startYou invite the Resident to a channel in your Slack or Microsoft Teams, as an external member (Slack Connect, or a Teams shared channel or guest). There is no app, no bot and nothing to install. We agree with your sponsor what is off limits.
- The week after signingThe sponsor pins a welcome post: who the Resident is, what to ask and how fast answers come.
- Every weekUp to 3–5 curated posts, never padded. Questions get a written answer within one business day.
- Every monthA Show & Tell of 30 to 45 minutes and a recap to the sponsor, on the Resident and Partner plans.
- Month 3The AI Culture Report and a recommended plan. You upgrade or stop.

We never build anything for you or look at your client data. Legal questions go to your own legal or policy owner.
Billing
- Billed monthly, in US dollars or euros depending on where your company is.
- The pilot is three months on the Resident plan. After it, plans run on a six-month minimum, still billed monthly.
- Teams of more than 250 people, events and anything custom are quoted per project. Write to us.
Where we use AI
The Resident uses AI to find and filter news, to analyse, and to make graphics and demos. When an AI-made thing is the point, we say so: "I made this deck with it, so you can see."
Would a reader mistake a model's sentences for a person's? Then it doesn't go out.
A person writes every post, answer and DM. Nobody gets a bot in a person's place.
Who pays us
Only our clients. We take no commissions, sponsorships or payments from the tools we talk about, so we recommend what we think is best for you.
Privacy
- We do not track individual AI usage.
- The sponsor sees totals, such as "4 people asked for 1:1 help", never who said what in private.
- A private question comes back to the channel only without a name.
What we do not do
- We propose. Your team builds. Nothing goes to production through the Resident.
- We give no legal advice and take no client data by default. Access to internal data needs a separate contract.
- We do not promise AI Act compliance or unlimited access to an expert.
